ACCA and CPA are two of the most respected accounting qualifications on the world. They are popular in different regions and the path towards getting these designations are quite different. In this video, we discussed the main difference in terms of the global coverage and recognition in various countries, the application process, how the program is run, and how to fulfil the requirements.

We also touch upon the details of the exams themselves. For example, the exam format is vastly different between the two tests. For the US CPA exam, it is fully computerized, with half of the questions in the form of multiple choice questions, and another half in what is known as the task-based simulations. This is a bit closer to the case studies that may be familiar with ACCA exam candidates, but the format is very different, given the questions are designed to be graded by computers.
