One of the most commonly asked questions from CPA exam candidates is which exam parts they are going to take first, and how many parts can be taken together. There is no standard answer, but in this video we are going to show you what most candidates did, and the reason behind the decisions.

There are generally two schools of thoughts. One is to tackle the hardest exam section first. This itself is subjective based on the candidates’ own background. Having said that, there are two parts that are known to be the hardest for most candidates. Then, people can choose to take the parts that are closely related to each other, or that there could be similar questions coming out from these two parts.

Another way is to take the easiest part first to build up one’s confidence. As one becomes more familiar with the exam format and question style, go for the harder ones. Which way would you take?
