Country Cooking In My Farmhouse Kitchen | Winter Comfort Foods

Step into my farmhouse kitchen today as we cook up some yummy winter comfort foods! I’m working on a new recipe for sourdough blueberry muffins, baking a fresh loaf of sourdough bread, and prepping a quick weeknight dinner of meatloaf (with our farm fresh beef) and baked potatoes.

I’ll also show you the quickest sweet and salty treat for a crowd, perfect for any holiday gathering or celebration! It will be a hit for friends and family of all ages!

Finally, we’re finishing off our week with more snow so we’re getting cozy in the kitchen with homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese. Mmm…mmm…mmm! Can’t wait to cook with you!

Festive Chocolate Coated Popcorn:
* Popcorn, popped (and extra un-popped kernels removed)
* White almond bark (or white chocolate)
* Festive sprinkles of your choice

Pop your popcorn and allow to cool. Remove any un-popped kernels.
Melt your chocolate/bark according to the directions. In a large bowl pour the chocolate evenly over the popcorn.
Stir together to coat the popcorn and then immediate drop it onto parchment paper and sprinkle with your choice of holiday sprinkles!
Allow to set and cool. Break it up and enjoy!

*substitutions in today’s video: I used sun-dried tomato paste instead of regular tomato paste. I also subbed out all the tomatoes for our canned garden crushed tomatoes.
*Another fun ingredient I’ll often add is roasted red peppers! Love the extra punch of flavor they can add to your soup!
