Climate-Smart Forestry for Small Forest Landowners

Nature is the best tool we have to remove carbon dioxide from our atmosphere at the scale needed and at a reasonable cost. This is a critical solution in our fight against climate change and forests play an important role. Climate-smart forestry practices both increase the amount of carbon stored in the forest as well as its ability to adapt to climate change impacts. TNC and the American Forest Foundation developed the Family Forest Carbon Program to enable family landowners to manage their forests in ways that help address climate change, while earning income from carbon markets.
