Film of class 47s in action on Trans-Pennine services during the final week of Loco-Haulage. On the final day (20th January 1991) I travelled on the 14:48 from Huddersfield as far as Durham. Shortly afterwards there was a massive power failure that extinguished the signals in the area and as a result delayed substantially the 18:22 final UP train booked for Loco-Haulage. I travelled on this train as far as Huddersfield where a large crowd was waiting to witness the final departure.
