One of my favorite pieces of French-romantic literature, Widor's fifth symphony continues with this beautiful and lyrical movement. I recall being fascinated when I first learned this piece - the first that called for "thumbing down" a melody, and the first time I had seen organ music written on four staves!

This is recorded on the newly released 'Nancy' sampleset by Piotr Grabowski. This is an incredible technological achievement - and will put any computer through its paces I have loaded the set with Front and Rear channels in full 24-bit quality, and the Close channels in 16-bit (to help with some clarity). The acoustic of the building is astonishing, and is perhaps one of the longest that I know of that is currently available for Hauptwerk.
