When I first started doing aerial yoga, I made the mistake of buying an aerial apparatus that didn't suit my individual needs. I hope that this can help someone buy what is right for them.

Both the trapeze and traditional silk hammocks are great to have but they each serve different needs better.

Please feel free to contribute what advantages you find with one option over the other. I've seen people do many beautiful and skill building practices with both!
