In this video we discuss how to generate a bode plot of a complex transfer function by decomposing it into the individual components. We then show how one can sketch the bode plot for each individual component and then linearly add them together to obtain the transfer function of the complete system. This has applications to loop shaping, notching filter, and lead/lag compensators.
