The shareware 3D FPS which put a *little* bit too much realism into the computers: Domination (1998)

Описание к видео The shareware 3D FPS which put a *little* bit too much realism into the computers: Domination (1998)

[FLASHING COLOURS WARNING: skip from 05:40 to 05:56] Domination is a 1998 DOS game also known as "Rex Blade: The Battle Begins". I got my shareware copy in pre-installed form from https://www.dosgamesarchive.com/downl... so it's possible some of the example files are by the previous owner, but I feel like that's unlikely.

This was recorded in DOSBox 0.74-3. I used the General MIDI option for the game's music, played back live by my Roland SC-7. If you find the music rather lacking, I promise you it's not the SC-7's fault; it's capable of great things in better titles, and the Ad Lib version of this game's soundtrack is just as if not more dull. If the music is slightly out of sync with the SFX, it's because I recorded it on a second track and had to sync it up later.

The video was upscaled to 3200×2400 using ffmpeg, so that it gets a high enough resolution for YouTube to consider it deserving of high bitrate, while having the correct 4:3 aspect ratio and only using integer scaling factors on both axes.
