Where the betrayed find an uneasy resting place,
Searching for solace when they are broken and helpless,
Running from the demands of a world's forced happiness,

A requiem for their lost and jaded innocence ;

I am that one true empathizing friend...

Take comfort in the Angel of Vengeance,

I though I would conquer those feelings someday,
But every time I opened my eyes...
It was to another slap in the face,
Every lesson learned...
Was the one that would change my fate,
Only to find my destiny was just to fall for a better fake,
This question became my obsession,
Could you ever make a home in such a bitter space,
To find some happy medium between regret and heartache,
The revelation came when I realized all my yesterdays...
Had already long ago and always since...
Been spent living that way ;

Then the Angel smiled and took my hand,
He removed his crown and laid it down upon my head,
I anoint you father of angst and prince of pain,
A well versed worthy advocate...
For the emotionally dead and betrayed,
When they come to seek you,
I know you will truly understand,
Give them the peace and love they need,
Wrap them in your wings....
Like I did when you first knelt and cried at my feet,
