One Minute Bunkai: Chinto (Kyan) #5

Описание к видео One Minute Bunkai: Chinto (Kyan) #5

One Minute Bunkai: This is the classical opening sequence for the Tomari Chinto Kata of Kosaku Matsumura with the rotating palms. This is a defense against and upper level attack to the face. As you catch the arm/fist you initiate the rotation of your palms, grab his wrist firmly with right hand and while that is happening your left hand moves behind his hand (and does not loose contact or adhesion this is very important). You then deliver a violent hyperextension of the connecting tissue of his wrist. This can end the fight, this would be considered the first punch followed by the second to his rib cage. The last move in this sequence is modified as needed to throw him backwards with your left hand which has not let go of his right wrist, your right hand assists with the throw. This is an effective application that follows the Kata very accurately.

In this video I make mention of left and right hand usage because it is easier to explain things from the way the Kata is performed, but of course you should practice this technique on both sides.

This was never taught to me, this is one I came up on my own. We all need to experiment and discover, through your own discoveries you internalize Karate principles and they then become second nature to you. Think, explore and experiment.
