Preparing for the CSRD: making the most of circular economy reporting

Описание к видео Preparing for the CSRD: making the most of circular economy reporting

The Coalition Circular Accounting (CCA) will present its new whitepaper on the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the requirements of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS E5) on resource use and the circular economy. The paper positions the reporting requirement as the perfect opportunity to kickstart the circular transition by leveraging new data gathering to inform opportunities for innovation.

Starting in 2025, around 50,000 companies in the EU will be required to disclose information related to various sustainability topics, including the circular economy. The new legislation will require extensive reporting on a variety of circularity metrics—metrics that, once calculated, can further be used to guide strategic decision-making in regard to circular innovation.

In this webinar, you will learn how best to prepare your business for the considerable shift the CSRD will bring. Most importantly, you will learn how your organisation can benefit from the change rather than be hindered by it. The webinar will:

Introduce the CSRD and its impact on the circular transition;
Touch on the importance of two critical first steps in CSRD reporting: the materiality assessment and indicator selection;
Present the CSRD as a positive opportunity for sustainability teams, not just a check-box exercise;
Launch and discuss the new whitepaper from the CCA;
Provide practical tips on how to start preparations for your company.
About CCA

Circle Economy, The Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (NBA), and Invest-NL have formed a coalition to jointly identify and investigate reporting and accounting issues in the circular economy. The coalition consists of internal financials, financiers, sustainability consultants, accountants and researchers. In the CCA, we collaborate to gain a better understanding of current financing and reporting guidelines and, where necessary, to formulate new guidelines that are fit for purpose in the circular economy. The coalition utilises a variety of practical case studies to investigate challenges and develop new knowledge and potential solutions.
