Chris Cooper '89 | Mays Business School Outstanding Alumnus 2023 | Texas A&M University

Chris Cooper is a senior partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP with 35 years of experience. In his professional career, Chris has served as the lead partner on a number of the largest global clients that Deloitte serves across numerous industries, including consumer products, life sciences, industrial products, and financial services. Chris previously led the Life Science and Healthcare industry practice within Deloitte. Chris also served in the Merger & Acquisition Services practice where he advised global private equity firms and strategic buyers.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Chris is an active supporter of the academic and athletic programs of the university. Chris recently completed seven years as a trustee on the board of the 12th Man Foundation, including serving as the chairman. He has also been active in his communities during his professional career, having served as a board member on a local United Way board and a number of other charities.

Chris and his wife, Theresa, have three sons, Tyler (19), Andrew (17), and Jack (16). Recreational activities for the family include golf, snow skiing, and wake surfing.
