Palmerton, PA 2013 | Thousands of Spartans descended into the Pennsylvania backcountry for a day full of fun, competition and mud. Over a 5 mile course packed with 10+ obstacles, Spartans displayed courage, teamwork and strength admirable to every onlooker. Fewer burpees were docked than normal, signaling that the Spartan Army is growing more skillful. Another sign was the lack of dry skin; every Spartan crossed the finish line caked in rich Keystone soil.

Thanks to all the racers, onlookers and volunteers who made this race possible. You are the Spartan Army and without your love, commitment and tenacity none of this would be possible. Alone we are individuals but together we are so much more...
