Welcome to our first-time watching as we react to The Silence of the Lambs (1991).

This psychological thriller masterpiece was directed by Jonathan Demme and stars Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. This film follows FBI trainee Clarice Starling as she seeks the help of the brilliant but twisted Dr. Hannibal Lecter to catch a terrifying serial killer.

The film gave us some outstanding performances! One of our favorite elements in this film was Hannibal's chilling dialogue and the terrifying yet magnetic cat-and-mouse game both Clarice Starling and Dr. Hannibal Lecter engage in. It's a battle of the minds and we absolutely loved how the cinematography depicted that.

We hope that you enjoy our reactions, commentary and review as we discuss why this movie was extremely effective in how it utilized all of it's elements to deliver some impeccable storytelling. Most of the horror was delivered by focusing on the horrified expressions of those seeing the actual horror but it was so well done there was no need to show much in order to creep out the audience.
