Not As High Gain As It Seems - TC Electronic Dark Matter - No Talk, All Tone

It would seem only right to follow the Mojomojo with the TC Dark Matter. They were released around the same time, they are from the same series of drive pedals and they are broadly speaking quite similar. The Dark Matter is an expansive drive pedal which can take you from super sparkly grit to super filthy drive. It is no where near as metal as the box art and name suggests, but don't let that tarnish what is a very versatile and useable drive. I prefer to use it in it's lower gain settings as it allows the pedal to breathe a bit more and gives all that wonderful dynamic range, but push that gain up and you'll get into super saturated tones and honestly, either is good. It can get a touch noisy up the higher end of the gain, but with the amount of gain it is pushing, you would expect as much. I really like this one and I stack with the mojomojo to get a real sweet saturation. Let me know what you think of it in the comments below and tune in next week for a real surprise.
