THE BEST VIEW OF TAIPEI - MT. MIANTIAN (面天山)!!(有中文CC!)

The Trail
The good thing about this trail is that there are so many options. You can do a simple Mt Miantian summit return in a couple of hours or you can add in several other peaks such as Mt. Xiangtian and Mt. Datun and turn your hike into a full day.
On a clear day, the view from the top is unbeatable as you can see all the way from Taipei City along the river to Danshui (淡水) and around the north coast.
The first peak that we hiked by mistake (Mt. Zhongzheng, 中正山) also offers a great view of Taipei, but it will only take about 1 hour return.
Although this is an easy trail, be aware that it is mainly stone steps and they can get extremely slippery when wet.

Travel Logistics
The trailhead for Mt. Miantian is easily accessible by car or public transport. It is a short drive from New Beitou MRT Station (新北投) along Fuxing Fourth and Third roads (復興四三路) to Qing Tian Temple (清天宮).
To get there by public transport you can take the small No.6 (小 6) bus (http://e-bus.taipei.gov.tw/newmap/Tw/...) from outside Beitou MRT Station and get off at the temple, which is the last stop.

Drones
You will need a permit to operate a drone in Yangmingshan National Park.
You can apply for one online at the park’s website here, but the form is only available in Chinese (and is a nightmare!). Yangmingshan NP, please learn from Toroko Gorge in this respect.
