Dryland snapshot drill

Описание к видео Dryland snapshot drill

Why does this matter for curling?

The dryland snapshot drill gives you a chance to practice:
-Getting into and out of the hack
-Going hips first into the hack
-Feeling the proper hip shift and related 'weight transfer' from hack foot, to slide foot, to hack foot, to slide foot before you kick
-Timing out of the hack
-Getting your slide foot into a good position for balance

Break this down into steps. You can choose to take your time and do all the steps in order, or focus on one element of getting into and out of the hack without the stress of being on the ice.
Here are the options to "pause":
-Lining up at the target
-Sitting down into the hack
-Lifting the hips up
-Pulling the hips back
-Pressing the rock and broom forwards
-Placing slider foot under you
-Kicking into slide position

Note: you might enjoy a different sequence of events, and have different spots you prefer to pause at; the world is your oyster!
