Why does this matter for curling?

This dryland brushing drill gives you a chance to practice:
-Owning the brushing position
-Accessing more than 1 brushing position
-Using your feet to get your body OVER the brush
-Use your arms and serratus anterior to push your body AWAY from the ice
-Moving the feet while holding the position

Start with just holding the brushing position for up to 30 seconds. I recommend if you've got the time to not focus only on your 'normal' brushing position, but to choose a position that has the 'other arm' down. This helps with muscle symmetry as well as makes you a more versatile athlete.
