4 steps - 1 amazing result! A new way to use my Finnabair apothecary bottle mould

Описание к видео 4 steps - 1 amazing result! A new way to use my Finnabair apothecary bottle mould

I recorded this video before I went on holiday and edited while I was away, but I will be back home again when it goes live.

I wanted to try a new way of using my Finnabair mini apothecary / potion bottle mould for this video. I created silicone inlays, then used them in a trinket tray mould with a swirling multicoloured background to create the illusion of bottles embedded in crushed velvet. The process took four separate steps but it was totally worth it because I love the final result. It has so much depth! My trinket tray mould isn't perfect so I still need to polish the surface and possibly top-coat it.

Materials used:
- Finnabair mini apothecary bottle mould - I bought it last year from I Love Mixed Media
- BBDINO two part silicone
- Mica powder in two shades of green from a set on Amazon
- Let's Resin chameleon powders bought from Amazon
- JDiction fast cure (4 hour de-mould) epoxy resin from Amazon
- Vista liquid pigment in black, bought from Vista
- De-burring tool to clean up the edge of the final piece

I made loads of silicone inlays from this apothecary bottle mould and I would love to use the little ones to create inlays in pendants because they would be a lovely alternative to the resin bottle pendants and earrings I already make.
