Give, Gain, Grow

Today we find Jesus giving images of what the Kingdom of God is like. These parables are worth reflecting on.

The good news is that God does most of the work. The bad news is that most, is not all.

Some of the action in this world only starts when we start it. God will grow the things that we start. It's a wonderful image actually. A man plants a seed and then he waits and waits and waits.

The planting of a seed is us acting in the lives of others. Jesus again and again in His life points out the importance of loving our neighbor. The bottom line is this, when we reach out and give, things all around us grow and so do we.
