I Added New Chicks to the Flock with Zero Drama

Описание к видео I Added New Chicks to the Flock with Zero Drama

In this video I will share my experience and provide tips with how I added my 4 new chicks/pullets to the main flock with 0 issues. In this video, I mention how it's important to provide treats and toys as a distraction to encourage foraging instead of fighting. I will post two links below to videos I have about different treats, toys, and enrichment items for poultry that you will likely find helpful! You will also get a brief look at the ducklings and pheasant chicks that we got at work! I'll also touch on Niacin/Vitamin B deficiency issues and products that may help. Enjoy!

*Side note: You may notice feeders near my broody hens in this video. I moved the feeders farther away from their nest (once I determined they were full-on broody) to encourage them to get up and move around more. I don't want to make it too easy for them to sit 24/7. I recommend you do the same if you have a broody hen. Don't enable them to sit non-stop. They still need to move around and look for food to stay healthy. Plus, forcing them to leave the nest occasionally to search for food/water will help keep the nest clean since they will relieve themselves while they're out and about.
