20 min that will change how you feel. Whether it is a quick wake up yoga energy boost in the morning or in the middle of your day it will leave you feeling awake and energized. This practice is a perfect combination of strengthening exercises for your core and booty, my favorite stretches for hamstrings, side body and lower back, Sun Salutations and invigorating Pranayama to finish off this practice with a smile and happy heart.

We will get straight into abdominal crunches to create warmth through the center of the body and build strength and support for our whole system as we improve metabolism and digestion. To be continued with slower grounding reclined and seated stretches to let go of tension and tightness. And then we will go through a number of Sun Salutations as we focus on aligning our breathing with our movement increasing our presence of mind and awareness. Sometimes simple movements is all we need to feel better. So this will be the end of the physical practice. What is left is a beautifully invigorating Breath of Joy pranayama.

Breath of Joy:

Your inhale will consist of three parts.

Stand with your feet shoulder distance apart, knees softly bent. Take 1/3 of your normal inhale as you sweep arms up.

Inhale more up to 2/3 of your lung capacity as you sweep arms to the sides.

Complete your full inhale as you sweep arms back up.

There will be one big exhale with the sound of ha through the open mouth as we bend the knees deeper and fold forward.

We will repeat it a few times.

Remember that our success lies in our daily routine. Our health depends on daily movement and physical exercise. Our mood and mental health can be changed and sustained with the help of simple moves and stretches. No equipment required. Choose to feel good.
