Bonnie has returned to Mystic Falls, but encounters difficulties to reajust to her old life.

Damon notices the changes and worries about her.
But unbeknowst to him he also experienced and continues to change aswell; his feelings for Bonnie are getting stronger.

Damon wants Bonnie to feel save again, but Kai's presence brings only painful memories.

She looses control, and Damon starts to realize the tortures she'd endured.

Damon fears he lost her, and holds Kai responsible for Bonnie's breakdown. Damon wished he'd could do more to ease her pain.

His changes are noticed by his mother, and Damon wants by any means prevent his mother from using the witch.

Damon tries to convience Bonnie to be resilient; concerning his mother wanting the ascendant.
But fed up off being always second choice and being the one who has to swoop in to save everyone else ;except herself, Bonnie opens up to Damon.

Damon remembers her saving him, how she made him feel save & alive... she knows him better than anybody else.
He wont admit it but as usual she was right, he is scared ... scared about his true feelings for her!
