Sounds Sick Episode 32: Orange OR 120 F.A.C. ( Vintage 70s )

Описание к видео Sounds Sick Episode 32: Orange OR 120 F.A.C. ( Vintage 70s )

Welcome to episode #32 of Sounds Sick, the format, where we´re gonna present a bunch of cool and/or unusual stuff from our studio!
The videos show the sound that really let´s the amp/gear shine , in our opinion. Wether it´s a jangly clean tone or fuzzy rock sound.

SPECIAL

Our buddy Heiko agreed to shoot a couple of episodes of Sounds Sick with us, after we were done recording guitars for the new DEVILTRAIN album!
So you can be looking forward to seeing a bunch of really nice vintage amps in the future! :)

Please go check out Heiko´s band DEVILTRAIN, new Album is gonna be out in 2019 and it´s gonna be pretty damn good!

This time we´re presenting a mid 70s Orange OR 120 Head.
This is the model with the famous F.A.C. knob.

Juicy!
Well kind of.
It actually sounds nice and bone dry to me.

Great classic Orange amp tones! These are the roots of why Orange is so famous. Fat bottom, not quite as much midrange as a Marshall and a slightly fuzzy character, especially in the top end. Classic rock tones all day with a nice grainy not too fuzzy gain. Oh and it is unbelievably loud!

If you like the Orange sound, you gotta try one of those vintage ORs, they are really different from the modern Orange amps.

Signal Chain:

Gibson Les Paul

Orange OR 120 ( 70s Vintage )

Orange 4x12 w/ Celestion G12-T75s

Mic´d with a Shure sm57 up close, and a Brauner Phanthera for ambience/room.
