Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney believes Ben Carson is at the “top of the list” for Donald Trump’s running mate.

“The list [for Donald Trump’s running mate] is not any shorter now than it has been over the last month,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News Australia.

“Trump has finally said he expects to announce it at the Convention at the end of July.

“I still think Ben Carson … is at the top of the list.”
