Recent landmark studies and guidelines are changing the way we think about early food introduction. In recent years, a significant amount of research has been presented suggesting that early allergen introduction may reduce the risk of developing specific food allergies. This live webinar will discuss changes to guidelines surrounding early and sustained allergen introduction, as supported by landmark clinical trials. In addition, presenters will explore implementation challenges and offer tips on how parents can do early allergen introduction at home safely and effectively.

Katie Marks-Cogan, M.D., is board certified in Allergy/Immunology and Internal Medicine, and treats both pediatric and adult patients. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she received her M.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern and fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP). After finishing training, she moved to Southern California and currently works in private practice. She is a member of the scientific advisory board for Ready, Set, Food!

Jonathan M Spergel, M.D. received his medical and graduate education at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His clinical and post-graduate research training in Allergy and Immunology were completed at Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. Dr Spergel is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Allergy and Immunology. He is currently chief of the Allergy Section at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Perleman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the scientific advisory board for Ready, Set, Food!
