Orphaned elephants have a hard time surviving without their mothers. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya however is managing to do what was once though impossible, hand raising young orphaned elephants and successfully returning them to the wild. For my radio show National Geographic Weekend, I visited their facility in Nairobi, met some of the baby elephants, and talked with head keeper Edwin Lusichi about the program.
