Unisa department of policing practice's Dumisani Mabunda says police
need to do a lot of work when handling crime scenes.

Mabunda says he has for some time witnessed officials mishandling many
crime scenes, especially where people were killed.

He says failure to properly secure crime scenes could lead to suspects
being exonerated.
