On a day trip to Rozafa Castle, on lake Skadar (Shkoder) in Albania we discover the remarkable ruins of a castle held by Venetians and Ottomans, and are stunned by the views across the Albanian & Montenegrin mountains. We learn the legend of Rozafa, entombed in the walls of this expansive castle built by the Illyrians in 4th century B.C.
