一提碧山，不免想起坟场碧山亭（Peck San Theng）。没错，碧山这个名称毫不掩饰其历史渊源，早期这一带有十多座山丘。1980年以前，这里叫碧山亭，有大约十万个坟墓。

When you mention Bishan, you can't help but think of Peck San Theng, a cemetery. That's right, the name Bishan makes no secret of its historical origins, with more than a dozen hills in the area in the early days. Before 1980, it was called Bishan Pavilion and there were about 100,000 graves.

为了方便管理，碧山亭以“亭”为界，划分出十二个地段（亭），每个“亭”都有个路亭，为前来拜祭的亲属提供歇脚处。

In order to facilitate management, Bishan Pavilion is divided into 12 lots (pavilions) with the “pavilion” as the boundary, and each pavilion has a road pavilion to provide a resting place for relatives who come to worship.
