Happy 248th Birthday - The song came up as today hymn in the book I am using to teach myself music notation and harmonization. Its a simple beautiful melody, the lyrics written in detention by an American leader, the morning after the bombing of Baltimore - He asked a question that is more important to America than at any other time in its recent past - "O say, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?" On that morning in Baltimore 248 years ago, it did.

Musescore 4 is free, it comes with a full orchestra, you don't need a MIDI keyboard, and a basic computer is fine. Notation software is not designed with real-time as a priority so latency is less of a issue.
