Elden Ring Malenia [PC, Keyboard and Mouse]

Описание к видео Elden Ring Malenia [PC, Keyboard and Mouse]

The toughest boss in Elden Ring. Design wise Malenia is a very interesting boss that separates her from most other bosses for a few things: (1) she's reactive and would try to evade attacks (as opposed to most bosses who are programmed to just do their things); (2) she can be quite easily interrupted with attacks (which makes her feel like a PvP enemy); and (3) her Waterfowl Dance is the only boss attack that requires players to master a strict multi-dodge sequence that is super tight in terms of timing. She's a bit of polarising when it comes to the fanbase, and I am very much on the "one of the best bosses of all time" camp. It took 7 hours to take her down, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Build wise I'm using a strength focused dual halberd build that focuses on jump attacks. This is on PC, played with keyboard and mouse (it's surprising OK, if you set up the keybinds properly; more below).

Character level: 112
Weapon: Golden Halberd +10 / Heavy Nightrider Glaive +25
Stats: 50 vigor / 23 endurance / 60 strength
Armor: Raptor's Black Feathers (+10% jump attack damage), rest doesn't matter
Talisman: Claw Talisman, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Great Jar's Arsenal, and Starscourge Heirloom.

Keyboard and Mouse Binding:

There are four critical keys that you must be able to press while your left hand's three fingers (index, middle and ring) are on WSAD: light attack, strong attack, guard/power stance attack, and weapon skill (ash of war). Two of them can be on mouse (right hand), but there are two more that we need to rely on our left hand's remaining fingers: pinky and thumb. And this is my setup:
light attack: mouse left click
hard attack: mouse right click
guard/power stance: shift (with pinky)
weapon skill: alt (with thumb)

With a bit of practice I think the setup is pretty optimal. Some people also recommend using 1/2/3/4 for armament switching. I'd advise against that, because you'll need to do armament switching WHILE holding WSAD, and you can't do that with 1/2/3/4. The default keys are up/down/left/right, which may sound awkward initially (since you'll have to take your right hand off mouse to click them), but it's actually good since you can do armament switching this way. I put torrent on the right key (pouch) and getting on/off torrent is E+right, which is easy to do while you're on the move.

Besides these changes, I have all other keybindings on DEFAULT (and I think they are also pretty optimal).
