AVEVA PI System Backup and Disaster Recovery

Sometimes things don't always go to plan - you should always be prepared and ready to recover in case of disaster. In this livestream I'll talk about strategy and best practices for backups in AVEVA's PI System.

We'll start with an improperly configured system, and improve it by setting up nightly incremental backups and making sure they properly run.

If nothing goes wrong, we'll end the stream there. Surely nothing's going to go wrong,.. Right?

If something DOES go wrong with the hardware running our PI Server, we'll get some new hardware, then use our backup to restore it. We'll then make configuration changes to allow our interfaces and users to connect to the new machine. After this, we'll implement strategies to prevent downtime from similar problems in the future.
