Puppet "Ardhavatrao" completes 100 Years - Marathi AV

India's leading Ventriloquist & Puppeteer Ramdas Padhye's most famous and beloved puppet "Ardhavatrao" or "Mr.Crazy" or "Gappidas" has completed 100 Years.It is first time in India that a puppet character is completing 100 Years and might probably be first time in the world that such thing is happening.

"Ardhavatrao" or "Mr.Crazy" or "Gappidas" was a puppet character originally conceived by Ramdas's father Prof.Y.K.Padhye in India around mid 1916 & mid 1917. He conceived this character on paper and named him "Ardhavatrao".

"Ardhavatrao" is probably the first puppet character which is 100 years old and is still being performed.

This character "Ardhavatrao" has made innumerable appearances on several channels across the world as well as in different feature films, T.V. Shows, Stage Shows. This character gained lot of popularity on India's National Channel Doordarshan.
