Rainy Walk at Cat Street Antiques Market in Hong Kong | 4K 60FPS

Описание к видео Rainy Walk at Cat Street Antiques Market in Hong Kong | 4K 60FPS

I'm back after a long sojourn in the land of machine learning. My master's thesis was a huge drag, and normally I'd just edit videos on the side while working on something like that. Unfortunately, Tensorflow (a common ML package) and Premiere both wanted to use my GPU, and I begrudgingly conceded that I should probably prioritize my studies over my tiny YT channel. But now it's over I can continue chunking through my backlog of videos from Hong Kong! Hooray!

This video starts outside the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum in Central. Once a mansion owned by the Mormon Church, it was almost demolished as turning it into an empty lot would have been significantly more valuable. But the church eventually sold it to the government, who converted it to the museum for the Chinese statesman you see here.

The walk descends down the steps of Shing Wong Street in Sheung Wan to the Man Mo Temple complex on Hollywood Road before ending on Upper Lascar Row. Known as Cat Street, it's one of the most famous collections of antiques shops in the city, and has everything from Chinese art to Japanese Netsuke sculptures. It's gorgeous and worth a visit if you're staying on the island. Normally I don't really like rain when I go filming, but we were prepared with an umbrella and it really enhanced the atmosphere here I think.

Postscript: I have about 10 videos left of Hong Kong give or take, as I'm not completely sure I'm going to publish everything once I've had time to see if they're any good. I've also started filming in London again, with some time in Kingston and Clerkenwell, though I'm not sure what I've got is good either. CONTENT! I'll figure it out. Anyway, if you're a long time viewer of the channel, thanks for your patience.
