In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Italian dressing to serve over vegetables. The flavor is compatible with almost any vegetable.

ITALIAN DRESSING FOR VEGETABLES

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried parsley
¼ teaspoon celery seeds
2 tablespoons table salt, or more, if desired
¼ cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons water
2/3 cup olive oil

Instructions:

In a small jar (with lid), mix together garlic salt, onion powder, oregano, black pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery seeds, and salt. Place the lid on the jar of herbs and shake vigorously, until the herbs are well mixed. Screw the lid on tightly and store herb mixture, until needed. To make the Italian Dressing for Vegetables, add ¼ cup white vinegar, 2/3 cup olive oil, and 2 tablespoons water to 2 tablespoons of the dry herb mixture. Whisk together or shake in a jar until the dressing becomes smooth and combined. At serving time, transfer dressing to a small pitcher. Pour over prepared vegetables. Delicious and healthy! :)
