Lead petitioner Ssekikubo holds meeting with speaker

The speaker of parliament Anita Among has today held a closed-door meeting with the movers of the motion Theodore Ssekikubo, for an appraisal of how the motion is going. Ssekikubo is the chief petitioner in a motion where four back-bench commissioners of parliament allegedly awarded themselves 1.7 billion shillings in service awards, without the approval of parliament.


Former leader of the opposition Nathan Nandala Mafabi, is the latest signatory meaning that Ssekikubo and his fellow petitioners need 31 more signatures to take the motion to the floor of the house.
