Enjoy this clip of three jazz trombone greats performing together at the 2013 International Trombone Festival. Alex Iles, Wycliffe Gordon and Michael Dease are joined by Paul Vaillancourt (drums), Louis Heriveaux (piano), Robert Orr (guitar) and Bill Grimes (bass). ITF 2013 was hosted by Dr. Bradley Palmer and the Columbus State University Trombone Studio June 26-29, 2013 in Columbus, GA. The jazz venue for the ITF was The Loft in Downtown Columbus, and our thanks go out to Buddy Nelms for the hospitality there, and to Donald Tipton for the video!
