#15 - An easier way to assemble manifolded backmount double tank twinsets for scuba diving

This video provides some alternative techniques in assembling backmount doubles / twinsets to facilitate this process. This includes the use of ground flat studs, non-skid strips inside the tank bands, assembling the system while upright, installing the tank bands over the valves without the studs, and checking for stud clearance with different back plates. This technique is superior to rotation methods as it specifically precludes damage to the tank's galvanization or paint finish.

When watching this technique some viewers have expressed concern about the possibility of cross-threading and damaging the modular valve and manifold threads. This possibility exists no matter what method you decide to use. So whenever assembling a set of doubles do not continue with the assembly process if you feel any resistance to threading any component.
