In this video, we discuss the use of the Double Tank Adapter (DTA). The DTA is constructed of two Single Tank Adapters (STA) and a high density polymer spacer. Previously, only certain special slot backplates could be used with independent doubles. Now, the DTA can be used to allow any user with any backplate to dive with independent doubles. For divers with the special slot independent doubles capable plates, the DTA will save time converting between either manifolded doubles or a single tank and independent doubles. For divers with any conventional back plate, the DTA offers the first opportunity to dive with independent backmount doubles which might not otherwise be possible.
