[4K] 🇵🇪 Лимское Метро | Все Линии

Описание к видео [4K] 🇵🇪 Лимское Метро | Все Линии

The Lima metro is the only metro system in Peru and consists of 2 lines. The first line opened in 2011 after 20 years of construction and is 34,6 km long. The first phase of the second line opened in December 2023 after 9 years of construction and is Peru's first ever underground metro line. The rest of line 2 and part of line 4 is planned to be opened in phases until 2028. The first 5 stations on line 2 were free to ride from its inauguration until March 2024 as a testing phase. After March the line costs S/7.50 which is notably more than line 1 at S/ 1.50 per person. Rolling stock on line 1 is majorly made up of Alstom Metropolis 9000 series which is the same train type used on the Barcelona metro and 5 sets of AnsaldoBreda MB 300 series which used to be used on the Rome metro. The 9000 series trains come in a green and white livery matching the line 1 logo meanwhile the MB 300 trains have a red and silver livery. Line 2 uses the AnsaldoBreda GoA4 driverless trains which come in a yellow and white livery to match the line 2 icon. The lines are very distinct as one is fully overground and the other fully underground and automatic however both lines are very modern and efficient. The metro is relatively safe with personnel at every station and good vigilance. Since the system is too small for Lima rush hour can get very hectic on the metro. Luckily, both lines are very frequent and efficient so getting around is still made convenient. I recommend using the metro if it is on your way as it is very cheap and a comfortable way to get around, the only thing is the coverage is currently limited so you may not always be able to get to your destination. Enjoy the video :)
