Paint like a Pro - How to make your paint brushes last

In this episode of Paint like a Pro, Johnny Warwick from Profile Painters shares an ultimate painter’s hack that will extend the longevity of your paintbrushes.

You will need the following:
• Paintbrushes
• Painter's tape

Before you start painting, wrap a bit of painter's tape around the edge of the paintbrush's ferrule (top edge, where the bristles meet the metal). The tape should be half on the metal ferrule and half on the paintbrush bristles. This will stop paint from working its way right up against the metal ferrule and it will stop the paint from drying in the head of the paintbrush, which causes the bristles to splay and lose their shape. This painting hack will ensure that your paintbrushes last a lot longer, making it so much easier to clean them.
