Week 4 - Hervey Bay to MacKay

Описание к видео Week 4 - Hervey Bay to MacKay

After leaving K'gari and Inskip Point we continue north first stopping at Hervey Bay, then Agnes Waters/1770 and eventually onto north Mackay.
While the weather doesn't cooperate in Hervey Bay we do get to drive their 22km coastal tourist drive and jump out of the car for some highlights.
We couldn't ask for a better side trip than the Bundaberg Rum Distillery and we are now fully educated on the impact rum has had on the world's economy - we also couldn't refuse the taste testing part of the tour.
Agnes Waters and the town of 1770 are so close together it's hard to notice which township you're visiting. Regardless, it is a beautiful part of the coastline and we spend a few days exploring.
Finally we decided to move on and end up north of Mackay on a working sugar cane farm. Totally immersed in sugar cane we also do a tour of Sarina's Sugar Cane Shed and have lots of taste testing to boot.
So much to see and do, we do our best to immerse ourselves in every region we visit.
