Anaheim Police: Shop with a Cop 2013 - Target Heroes & Helpers

On Monday, December 9, 2013, the Anaheim Police Department held its first-ever "Hero's and Helpers" Shop with a Cop event! The event paired a uniformed APD officer (complete with Santa Hat) with a child for a morning of shopping. Each officer volunteered his or her time and each officer--child pair was given a $100.00 Target Gift Card to spend however they wished!

Target awarded Anaheim Police Department's Cops 4 Kids program a "Hero's & Helpers-Holiday Shopping Spree." The Heroes & Helpers program is a part of the Target & BLUE effort, which pairs public safety officers with in-need youth for a day of holiday shopping.

The morning started with a continental breakfast at 6:30 AM and shopping began at 7:00 AM. The store was closed to the public during the event! Thank you to Target for their generous donation!
