“Although much rarer than pre-UFC, it was always fun when a nonbeliever came in to test jiu-jitsu first hand. He claimed to be a TKD black belt who was looking for a school where he’d want his wife to learn self defense but wanted to feel it first hand. I pulled guard the first round to see if my punch block series was on point. Since he never hit me, I didn’t feel the need to hit him. His wife never showed up.”
