This is a video lecture for Prestressed Concrete Design. This lecture gives an overview of some of the technologies and techniques used in prestressed concrete. The procedures for pretensioned and post-tensioned construction are discussed. Other concepts that are covered are: ways to minimize end region stresses (harping, debonding, top strands), construction of beams with voids (e.g. U-beams and box beams), and procedure for determining tendon profiles in post-tensioned structures. There is also an example problem for determining the friction losses in a post-tensioned structure.
