Aloha friends,
here is another tutorial - finally - about building/repairing fire your fire gear. I have been asked several times how I build my fire gear, how I attach the kevlar and how I repair old gear. So I decided to do this step by step tutorial when I was re-wrapping a fire devilstick for a friend last month.
I hope this gives you a pretty good idea on how easy it can be to make proper, long lasting, wrapped kevlar heads for your fire toys. If you do have any questions or suggestions or other ideas for tutorials on building fire juggling gear let me know.

please not that there is different ways to make kevlar wicks and ropes and that these different types vary in durability. Some of them have metal threads in them which is supposed to make the kevlar more durable. I however don't use that sort of kevlar because those metals get hot and once the wicks is damaged they might stick out and cause severe burns if you touch them. It might still be better for some spinning toys but NEVER use kevlar with metal thread in it for fire eating/fire breathing probs or anything you plan to run along your body. You will get burns because of the hot metal bits! If it's not stated in the description ask the retailer about it to make sure you know what you are buying. I always buy my kevlar from homeofpoi.com because they don't have any metal threads or anything and still the durability is great.-
