With ZIMO decoder mounted directly by ROCO. With sound and lights excellently calibrated by this decoder. It also has some weight plus many "plastics" to be mounted as in the workshop of the little ones, but which in the end give it the prestige of a collector's item. But, let's be honest, whoever chooses it does it strictly for the case. Well, for this rather unique painting scheme for a locomotive. Anyway, a painting scheme that will relaunch this locomotive model from SIEMENS in the HO market.
It works well in a medium to good level of performance in the sense that electronics do their job very well especially on the emergency break sequence which can be realistic mixed with the train run noise, but the mechanics on bogies leave much to be desired. Not only did it start squeaking after 4 rounds of diorama in the video an hour after delivery, but one of the bogies was permanently jumping in certain not very healthy parts of the diorama in the video. Because there is this special "rugged" condition of the diorama, you will not blame the DAR model too much, old or new locomotives with two or three axles per bogie run smoothly on the same parts. A special feature is the "silhouette" mounted as a locomotive mechanic. Either she is the first female representation in HO history in this position or she is a pious monk from the Vatican.
Again, the characteristic given by the ZIMO decoder can be observed, which automatically turns on / off the light of its cabin according to the stop / run function of the locomotive, a characteristic that we did not encounter in the ESU schemes.

A̶I̶R̶ 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝟏
Cu decodor ZIMO montat direct de ROCO. Cu sunet și lumini excelent calibrate de acest decodor. Are și ceva greutate plus multe „plăsticuțe” de montat ca la atelierul celor mici dar care în final îi dau prestanță de piesă de colecție. Dar, să fim cinstiți, cine o alege, o face strict pentru carcasă. Mă rog, pentru această schemă de vopsire destul de inedită pentru o locomotivă. Oricum o schemă de vopsire care va relansa acest model de locomotivă de la SIEMENS în piața de HO.
Funcționează mediu spre bine în sensul că electronica își face cu prisosință datoria, mai ales în simularea opririi de urgență care poate fi realistic combinată cu zgomotul în mers al unui tren dar mecanica pe boghiuri lasă de dorit. Nu numai că după 4 ture de dioramă în video la o oră după livrare a început să scârțâie dar unul din boghiuri sare permanent în anumite porțiuni nu tocmai sănătoase ale dioramei din video. Pentru că există această condiție specială „accidentată” a dioramei, nu voi învinovăți prea tare modelul DAR, pe aceleași porțiuni rulează fără probleme locomotive vechi sau noi cu două sau trei axe per boghiu. Așadar…
O particularitate aparte o face „silueta” montată pe post de mecanic de locomotivă. Sau este prima reprezentare feminină din istoria HO pe acest post sau este un pios călugăr de la Vatican.
Din nou poate fi observată caracteristica dată de decodorul ZIMO care stinge/aprinde automat lumina cabinei în funcție de pornire/oprire, caracteristică pe care nu am întâlnit-o în schemele ESU.
Oricum, un model de colecție.
