"Either / Or" (Lobke Sprenkeling) - Excerpts from a concert performance

Either/Or is an interactive musical and physical piece, where the audience has to choose one of two words every 30 seconds. Can you guess which words I'm playing?
At the concert, the audience’s choice will determine what piece it will see, which will never be the same piece.

Life is an improvisation.
Every day we are forced to improvise in order to fill the gap of what we planned and what we have.
We have more to choose from than ever. But does that free us or make us prisoners of the ever growing decisions we have to make? Decision stress is a real phenomenon linked to our society. Too much to choose from gives us insecurity and can lead to exhaustion. The more we have to choose from, the more we have to improvise with what we didn’t expect.

Either/Or is an experiment, a game, with these two elements that reflect modern society so much: constant decision making and improvisation. The question remains who is experimenting and who is the experimented...
